Classic country interiors have been jettisoned in favour of a sophisticated European look that extends to the lobby, lounge and main restaurant in this Hunter Valley stalwart, set on 28ha with great views of the Brokenback Ranges.

The chic blue, white and black guestrooms would not look out of place in Paris and feature stylish Axminster wool carpets, houndstooth checks on the chairs and stylish furniture and wallpapers from Natale’s own collection, including elegant side tables topped with blue-and-white china lamps.

Guestrooms open on to verandas offering long views over the property or to the ranges. Facilities include free Wi-Fi, bathrobes, flat-screen television with Foxtel channels and a mini-bar stocked with local goodies.

The new-look Epoche Lounge Bar has an outdoor pizza oven and deck and cosy seating set over two levels around a central indoor fireplace.

Resort facilities include tennis courts, billiards room and a Grecian-style pool house with indoor heated pool, sauna, spa and gym.
