Thomas Hordern is the new president of the Upper Hunter Wine Maker’s Association, taking over from Two Rivers’ Brett Keeping.
New Upper Hunter Wine Maker’s Association president Thomas Hordern sees a bright future for the local industry (ABC Rural) The Hordern family has been active in the Upper Hunter wine industry since the 1960s. Mr Hordern is currently an assistant wine maker to his father John at Muswellbrook’s Hunter Wine Services. The 30 year old also has his own label, which is funded entirely by crowdsourcing and sold only online.
“It’s very different to the way my father and grandfather took their wine to market,”
Mr Hordern said.
“It’s fantastic that there’s another outlet there for a local wine maker and local growers to sell their wine and sell their fruit,”
