Snow has fallen across NSW this Sunday, July 12, with parts of the Upper Hunter caught under the white blanket.
Some of the largest snow depths away from alpine areas included Orange on the NSW Central Tablelands where between 10 and 15 centimetres has fallen.
In the Barrington Tops National Park the falls were also heavy.
The Tassie Devil Ark team in the Barringtons shared some memorable photos on their Facebook page on Sunday (photos 2 & 3).
Locals who ventured into the winter wonderland weren’t disappointed.
Tania Hagan sent us a scene showing just how deep the snow cover is in the Barrington Tops (photo 1). Adrian Hagan captured his sister, Elise, at Thunderbolts Lookout at Barrington Tops on Sunday making her first footprints in the snow.
Muswellbrook’s Minch family made a tiny, but impressive, snowman in the cold conditions (photo 4).
The Evans Clan, from Muswellbrook, hopped in their 4WD and made for the Barringtons to play in the snow (photos 6 & 7).
